Awarded the prestigious Collier Trophy in 2004 for its unparalleled performance and efficiency, the G550 is an excellent long range jet. Although Bombardier claim that the Global 7000 and 8000, once in service, will exceed it, to this day the G550, along with the G650, has the best range in the industry, capable of over 12,500km of non-stop flight. It can therefore connect New York to Doha, Paris to Singapore or Shanghai to Geneva and, with an excellent top cruise speed, it can do so in great time. This jet is not only praised for its high performance, but also for its spacious interior, which features 3 partitioned seating areas which accommodate up to 14 passengers in ultimate comfort. It is fitted with state-of-the-art noise reduction technology and 14 signature oval windows to ensure a silent and light cabin, while the 100% fresh air system and maximum cabin altitude of 6,000ft reduce the effects of travel fatigue and jet lag.
